    Job Summary:

    Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff, the Administrative Assistant will perform a variety of clerical and administrative tasks at our Support Center as well as interact with our Team Members in our restaurants as needed. The Administrative Assistant will be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and efficient.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Performs clerical duties including typing, filing, and completion of simple forms.

    • Operates office machines including copiers, scanners, phone and voicemail systems, personal computers, and other standard office equipment.

    • Serves as the receptionist for the office, greeting visitors and coordinating deliveries.

    • Answers phones, directs calls to appropriate individuals and prepares messages.

    • Copies, sorts, and files records related to office activities, business transactions, and other matters.

    • Prepares letters, memos, forms, and reports according to written or verbal instructions.

    • Sorts incoming mail and delivers to appropriate department or individual; processes outgoing mail.

    • Maintains filing systems either manually or electronically.

    • Manages calendars and schedules appointments.

    • Maintains office supplies and coordinates maintenance of office equipment. Maintains general office cleanliness and organization daily.

    • Run errands as needed. This may include, but is not limited to, picking up/delivering items to/from restaurant locations, making bank deposits, visiting the post office, etc.

    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel knowledge required.

    Job Description

    Reporting directly to the Regional Manager of Operations, the General Manager will be responsible for leading and directing all operations, ensuring operational excellence, and flawless in-store execution to support future growth. In addition, this individual will have a fine eye for exceptional service and food execution, while also having a finger on the pulse of current trends in the marketplace. The General Manager will be a sales builder and a true brand ambassador with sound business acumen and a true passion for the hospitality service industry, alongside being a strategic thought partner for the leadership team of the company, as they continue to expand and grow both brands.

    Specifically, the General Manager will be responsible for:

    • Acting as the champion of the Edley’s culture (the “Southern Soul”), teaching the culture, protecting the culture, and hiring for the culture

    • Leading the charge of developing Edley’s into becoming the epicenter of people development resulting in Edley’s to be the employer of choice in every market

    • Ensuring impeccable, hospitable service standards and following the core values of treating guests as family and being passionate to be the best in every interaction with a guest

    • Growing revenue in existing unit and meeting or exceeding forecasted expectations

    • Collaborating with the Leadership team to develop necessary strategy, infrastructure, systems, and operations support for operational excellence as well as future expansion

    • Partnering with marketing and operations team to communicate and consistently execute on the strategy of the ‘three uniques’/brand differentiators: food (best smoked meats and sides at an affordable price) atmosphere (great music, familiar rustic décor, and a casual laid-back feel) and neighborhood (active philanthropy and staff engagement with the neighbors/community)

    • Leading and directing operations for the Edley’s Bar-B-Que concept. Including full P&L responsibility for the existing location and future restaurant openings with a continuous eye on improving sales and profitability without sacrificing the culture or the quality of the food and service

    • Reviewing restaurant’s financial and operational performance daily, weekly, and quarterly as well as taking corrective action with urgency whenever and wherever needed

    • Ensuring operational excellence and flawless in-store execution in areas of guest satisfaction, product quality, operational standards, facilities management, local store marketing/promotions, and community relations

    • Inspirational leadership skills and highly collaborative team building ability; hands-on and authentic management style

    • Consistently achieving/exceeding both short- and long-term company financial objectives by responsibly growing unit sales and profitability

  • Edley’s Bar-b-que caters a variety of events in the Nashville area from weddings to private parties, corporate meetings, and festivals. The Catering Delivery & Event Team Member is responsible for making drop off catering deliveries, as well as transporting, setting up, and serving at full-service events.

    Responsibilities:

    • Deliver catering orders

    • Transport and set-up at events

    • Serve at events (buffets & cocktail service)

    • Communicate with on-site event team

    • Respond to customer requests on-site

    • Live “southern soul” in each guest interaction

  • Do you love cooking? Do you love picture-perfect food? As a Pitboss, you will be responsible for making sure everything that comes off the smoker at Edley’s is set up just right for our guests. In a high-energy environment, find yourself working closely with team members to send fresh, hot, nationally recognized food to the best guests in the biz. From the kitchen to the dining room, you won’t find a better environment in the restaurant industry.

    Our Pitboss positions are broken down into three different categories. Protein, Fry, and Middle Linebacker. 

    Protein Pitbosses chop, slice and plate meats from our smoker while also being an assistant to our prep cooks for loading and unloading the smoker. 

    Fry Pitbosses man our fryers and flattops. Making golden delicious brown catfish, hot chicken, fried pickles and more.

    Middle Linebackers are a hybrid position between Protein and Fry Pitbosses. We schedule Middle Linebackers for our busier shifts when Protein and Fry are going to need some extra hands. Find yourself slinging tacos and much more as a Middle Linebacker.

  • Are you a people person? Do you surround yourself with smiling faces? Our Soulsters are meant to live up to their name in being the soul of our restaurants. As a Soulster, it is your job to go above and beyond to create memorable moments for our guests while maintaining the great dining room vibe that Edley’s is known for. Soulsters are the most common first and last interactions guests have with our team, so it is important that each one is a great one. Soulsters are very well versed on the menu and are prepared to guide guests through the ordering process.

    Soulsters fall into four categories:

    Counter Service - At Edley’s, guests place their orders at the counter before finding a seat. As a Counter Service Soulster, you will assist guests in placing orders and make sure that their orders are sent to the kitchen correctly.

    Line Service - While guests are waiting to place their orders at the counter, they are also making decisions about what they want to eat. Our Line Service Soulsters interact with guests during this waiting period and help them select menu items that are perfect for their tastebuds.

    Table Service - The guest’s favorite part about coming into Edley’s is when that plate of food finally hits the table in front of them. As a Table Service Soulster, you are the last person on our team to make sure that those plates are picture perfect as well as ensuring that guests have everything they need to enjoy their meal.

    To-Go Service - To-Go Service is all about multi-tasking. Taking call-in orders, greeting guests and making sure that takeout guests leave with everything they need are the main responsibilities of the To-Go Soulster.

  • Are you a natural leader? Do you love working with a team to be efficient and precise? As an Expo at Edley’s, you will develop your people management skills in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the plates that come out of our kitchen are ready to be on our guest’s next Instagram post! It is your responsibility that orders are correct and heading to our dining room in a timely manner. Leading your team is key to getting this job done. Accuracy, leadership, and flexibility are required when in the Expo position at Edley’s.

  • Do you like working “by the book”? Are you a taskmaster who loves delicious food? Prep Cooks are the heartbeat of the kitchen at Edley’s. Making all of our sides from scratch, prepping meats to be loaded on the smoker and mixing our mouthwatering sauces are some of the main responsibilities of a Prep Cook at Edley’s. Working straight from a recipe book with accuracy and keeping an organized work area will be success factors for a great Prep Cook.

  • Would you consider yourself a clean freak? Do you love organization? Dish Machine Operators keep the wheels turning at Edley’s with sparkling clean dishes and a very organized workspace. DMOs also assist our Soulsters to maintain a tidy dining experience for our guests. “Clean” is the name of the game for a DMO.

  • Do you feel at home behind a bar? Do you love making friends out of strangers? Bartenders at Edley’s are an extension of our Soulsters but with a little more responsibility and fast pace working environment. Bartenders are accountable for serving our guests in a friendly and safe manner while maintaining the relaxed bar vibe that Edley’s boasts. With 6 signature cocktails and plenty of craft beer on tap, it is easy to make suggestions for guests and get them just the libation they are craving. Bartenders at Edley’s are friendly, efficient and organized.
