This Month in Nashville: February 2016
by Edley Newman
Staying true to our motto, “A Tribute to All Things Southern,” we’re expanding our brand’s scope beyond having the best barbecue in Nashville.
We want to let you know about the best things going on in Music City, and who better to trust than us? February’s got a lot of things happening this month, so we want to give you our top 5 picks for things to do around the capital city.
5. Superbowl Watch Parties
Sunday, Feb. 7
Didn’t save your seat for the big game in San Francisco? All your friends bailing out on house watch parties? No worries. Enjoy the spirit of the game with fellow game goers while you’re out on the town. Oh, and we’re teaming up with Yazoo Brewing Company to provide you with the Super Bowl party of your dreams. 4. Tyler Perry’s Madea on the Run at TPAC
Friday, Feb. 12 – Saturday, Feb. 13
Everyone’s favorite sassy grandmother is back with a new production, and as the title alludes, Madea is evading the police once again. Just like his films, Perry’s play will have you leaving the theatre with your sides hurting from the laughter, while simultaneously inspiring you with the relationships that unfold in the play. Purchase a ticket here.
3. Nashville Chili Festival at Yazoo Brewing Company
Sunday, Feb. 14 from 12 PM – 3 PM
Who says Valentine’s Day has to be spent with roses and chalky candy? Not us. That’s why we like the Nashville Chili Festival, hosted by our friends over at Yazoo. Any event that combines chili, live music, contests, and beer is a winner in our eyes. For information on tickets and how to enter in your chili recipe, click here.

Tennessee Brew Works is putting on a two-day event that is a guaranteed winner. Their Chocolate and Beer event partners our two favorite indulgences and offers live music. 1. Chris Stapleton at Ryman Auditorium
Friday, Feb. 18 – Sunday, Feb. 20
It’s no surprise why this talented artist earned our top spot for February. After his performance with Tennessee native Justin Timberlake on the CMAs, his popularity exploded. The good news? He’s performing three consecutive nights at the Ryman. Bad news? Tickets are already sold out. Hopefully, you’ve already secured your ticket, but if not, revisit the performance that had all of our jaws on the ground.
