What’s happening around Nashville in April?

There’s no shortage of events, large and small. That’s why we love Music City so much. Whether you’re into crawfish and beer, live music at the Ryman, or baseball, there’s something for everyone!

4. The Nashville Sounds

Thursday, April 7

“Take me out to the ball game. Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks, I don’t care if I ever get back.” Root for our own Nashville Sounds at their home opener. The Sounds start the season at First Tennessee Park hosting the Oklahoma City Dodgers on Thursday, April 7 at 6:35 p.m.

Here are a few ideas of people to take: a buddy, your significant other, your kids, your boss (especially if performance evaluations are coming up), your mom (she’s done a lot for you), your neighbor. Be sure to check out season passes before you go. They make it easy by offering a whole season, half season or partial season. Click here to read more or to buy tickets.

1. St. Jude Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon Nashville
Saturday, April 30

This month’s top pick is the St. Jude Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon. It’s not too late to sign up to run the half or full marathon! But if that sounds out of reach, there’s always the 5k. And if you have fit kids, there is a special run just for them on Sunday, the 31st. Running not your thing, no problem. Music makes up the heart and “sole” of this event. Runners will enjoy a variety of music from alternative, classic and punk rock to blues, jazz and soul along the race course, every mile specifically! The Wallfowers will be the headliner at Bridgestone after the race. Participants enter free of charge, while others can purchase tickets for $35. Register here.
